Forse il più intenso e personale album di Mullins, cantautore che forse più di ogni altro riesce ad amalgamare perfettamente country, folk e rock. Un disco rilassante, divertente: “These songs are character sketches of people I've come across and places I've traveled through”.
Splendide The Ballad of Kathryn Johnston’s, che ricorda Neil Young e la raffinata Leaving All Your Troubles Behind. Insomma Shawn Mullins continua con Honeydew a regalarci dell’ottima musica.
